“Rrose Sélavy” is a piece by Spanish composer Juan Hidalgo composed in 1975 and originally released in 1977 on the legendary Italian label Cramps Records. Titled after Marcel Duchamp’s female alter ego, Hidalgo’s original recording was multitracked by the composer using celesta, piano, and electronics.

For this new recording, composer Sarah Hennies created a new arrangement for acoustic instruments performed here by Berlin-based ensemble Manufaktur für Aktuelle Musik.
